Mohammad Hussain Talat (12 February 1996, Lahore, Punjab) is a first-class cricketer from Pakistan. He plays for Islamabad United in PSL. He was bought for Us$10,000 as an emerging player. He made his Pakistan Super League debut vs Quetta Gladiators in which he scored a valuable fifty for his team and helped Islamabad United to win the game for 1 run.
A wonderkid who is finally showing glimpses of fulfilling his talent, Hussain Talat is still young enough to be a pillar for Pakistan for years to come. By the age of 16 he had already played in two formats for ZTBL and was seen as the solution to a lot of Pakistan’s problems: a capable left hander who can bat anywhere in the order and a medium pacer who can wreak havoc with the new ball, as well as being a proficient death bowler.
After showing glimpses of his talent until 2016, the calendar year of 2017 was when he truly made the leap. He began the year by finishing as the second highest run scorer in the National One Day Cup for regions, scoring two centuries in just five matches. He ended the year being the second highest run scorer amongst non-openers in the National T20 Cup leading Lahore Blues to the title.
In between all this he also scored a fifty on PSL debut against Quetta Gladiators and represented Pakistan under-23s in the Emerging Asia Cup. PSL 3 will be his third edition as part of the Islamabad United squad.
