The first stage of the franchise’s merchandise will include non-apparel products
Lahore, 08 December 2016 – Islamabad United, the winners of the inaugural HBL PSL, is proud to announce the launch of its official merchandise today. The first stage of it will include non-apparel products such as mobile phone covers, travel mugs, flags and sports bottles. These products are available to purchase from the 8th December onwards. The apparel products, meanwhile, will be available to purchase in the weeks to come.
Regarding the launch of the products Shoaib Naveed, the Chief Operating Officer of Islamabad United said, “We believe that having access to the authentic merchandise of their favourite team is a key part of the overall experience for a sports fan. The launch of his hardware line of Islamabad United products is just the first step in a groundbreaking sports merchandising strategy we have for the Pakistan market. You will see an expansion of this unfold in the lead up the second season of the HBL PSL.”
One of the priorities that Islamabad United has defined for itself is the introduction of international standards and practices to Pakistan cricket – not only with what happens on the field, but particularly with what happens of it. Shoaib Naveed elaborated on how this move is part of that big picture outlook. “This is the first time in Pakistan that a sports team has come out with a specialized merchandise line in the hard goods sector,” he said. “We, at Islamabad United, are keen on leading the way in the licensing and merchandising space by providing an affordable and quality range of products. Products that are easily accessible to our fans and helps them connect with their favourite team at a deeper level.”
The products are available for purchase from Islamabad United’s website (IslamabadUnited.com). In addition to that, they are available at Islamabad United’s social media pages.
