Shadab Khan became the youngest ever foreign player to play in the Australian Big Bash League. In his very first game he dismissed Maxwell and Wright and in the process earned a lot of praise from all and sundry. Shadab’s team Brisbane heat beat the Melbourne Stars by 15 runs.
English batsman Benn Duckett who played with Shadab at Islamabad United in PSL2 has no doubts that the leggie will be a success in Australia.
Earlier Shadab had been applauded by New Zealand greats Daniel Vettori and McCullum for his skill set and his ability to change matches at a young age.
Even the great Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist admired Shadab’s bowling on his debut in Australia.
Shadab acknowledged Gilchrist’s tweet and thanked him for the support.
